Discover Unique Accommodation in Estonia

Estonia might not be the first destination that comes to mind when you think of unique accommodation, but this small Baltic country hides some of the most remarkable nature stays in Northern Europe. If you're looking for something beyond the ordinary hotel room — something that truly immerses you in your surroundings — Looduskeskus might be exactly what you're searching for.

Why Estonia for a nature stay?

Estonia is one of the most forested countries in Europe, with over half of its land covered by ancient woodlands. The country has a population of just 1.3 million — which means vast stretches of untouched forest, crystal-clear lakes and rivers, and a peace you simply can't find in more populated destinations. And yet, from Tallinn's old town to the heart of the forest takes less than an hour.

About Looduskeskus

Looduskeskus is a small nature retreat located in Ardu village, Harjumaa — just 40 minutes from Tallinn city centre. We offer three unique glamping cabins set in a beautiful forested landscape, each designed to make you feel completely at home in nature while providing all the comforts of a boutique stay.

Lynx Den (Ilveseurg)

A cosy 21 m² forest cabin for up to 4 guests, featuring a private hot tub, fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, terrace and forest views. Pets welcome. Perfect for couples and small families who want complete privacy in the forest.

Bear Cave (Karukoobas)

Our most popular cabin with a rating of 9.6/10 for couples on Booking.com. The Bear Cave has a distinctive cave-like interior, Bluetooth sound system, seasonal hot tub (March–November), private garden, and lake access. Truly special for a romantic escape.

Wolf Den (Hundiurg)

Another 21 m² forest cabin with fireplace, kitchen, and terrace. Ideal for families or small groups. Wolf Den also serves as a seminar and event venue for up to 40 people.

What's nearby?

The setting is everything. Looduskeskus sits between the Pirita River and the Paunküla Reservoir — two of Harjumaa's most beautiful waterways. The surrounding forests are home to deer, foxes, beavers, and occasionally lynx. In the mornings, you'll wake up to birdsong rather than traffic noise.

Activities you can enjoy

  • Canoe trip on the Pirita River — a gentle, beautiful paddle through Estonian nature
  • SUP boarding on Paunküla Reservoir
  • Bog bathing — a uniquely Estonian wellness experience
  • Guided wildlife observation walks
  • Nature photography course with professional photographer Eleri Lopp
  • Guided forest hikes through Harjumaa wilderness

Getting there from Tallinn

Looduskeskus is approximately 40 minutes from Tallinn city centre by car. It's an easy drive along the main road, and we provide detailed directions upon booking. If you're arriving by plane, Tallinn Airport is about 50 minutes away. We can also arrange transfers from Tallinn if needed.

Book direct at naturestonia.com for the best available rate. Prices start from €170 per night for up to 4 guests.
