Children's Nature Camp 2025 in Estonia

We live in an age when children spend increasing amounts of time in front of screens. Research shows that children who spend sufficient time in nature have better mental health, stronger immune systems and improved concentration. Looduskeskus children's camp was created precisely to give children this invaluable experience of the natural world.

Why is nature important for children?

Screen time vs nature time — this is the question many parents grapple with today. Time spent in nature is not simply relaxation — it is development. Children learn to assess risks, solve problems, work as a team and understand their physical limits. These are skills that cannot be learned behind a screen.

What does the Looduskeskus camp offer?

Our camp is designed so that every child goes home enriched — with new knowledge, friendships and memories. The camp takes place in Harjumaa, surrounded by beautiful forest, where children can experience genuine nature without interruptions.

Why Harjumaa?

Looduskeskus is located in Ardu village, Harjumaa — just 40 minutes from Tallinn. This means children can reach real nature quickly, without a long journey. The surrounding forests, Pirita River and Paunküla Reservoir provide the ideal natural setting for all camp activities.

Safety and supervision

Safety is a common concern for parents. Our camp provides continuous adult supervision at all times. All guides have completed first-aid training. Group sizes are small — a maximum of 10–12 children — meaning every child receives personal attention. All activities are age-appropriate and risks are carefully managed.
